Payment methods & VAT
Accepted payment methods
Horsing Around accepts most major payment methods through our store. Listed below are the accepted payment methods for online payments:
PayPal, PayPal Pay in 3, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit and American Express.
Pay in 3 is a payment method for eligible online basket values between £30 and £2,000 when you checkout with PayPal. It is an interest-free loan that lets you split your basket into 3 repayments, with the first due at time of purchase and subsequent repayments due every month on the same date. Please note that Pay in 3 is a form of credit, so carefully consider whether you can afford the repayments and be aware of the possible impact of missing repayments.
Payment validation checks & authorisation
All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If you are an overseas customer occasionally your card issuer will not authorise a transaction without authorisation from you the card holder.
We will notify you if this is the case, but don't worry this is a standard security procedure by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Entering credit & debit card information
Horsing Around uses an advanced Internet security system to safeguard your data. Therefore the card details and type must be entered exactly as they are on your card in order to be accepted.
If there is an error in the way you have entered your payment details you will be shown an error message once you click on the 'Submit and Continue' button. Please check your form and rectify the error as indicated in the error message.
Once this is completed you will be able to proceed with payment and completion of your order by clicking on the 'Submit and Continue' button again.

Credit & debit card security
Shopping at Horsing Around is safe and to date no customer has reported fraudulent use of their credit or debit card as a result of purchases made through our store. We use high-level SSL encryption technology, the most advanced security software currently available for online transactions.

When will I be charged?
Once your order will be charged at the time of ordering unless you have ordered a 'made to order' item. We will contact you regarding a deposit and the outstanding balance will either be taken by monthly payments, if you have opted to use our time payment option, or when your order is ready to be processed by our warehouse for despatch.
Who pays VAT?
Customers living in the United Kingdom are subject to VAT (Value Added Tax) which currently is set at 20.0%.
