We realise how important it is to securely store any information that you provide. Horsing Around maintains the highest levels of security. Our site uses high-level SSL encryption technology, the most advanced security software currently available for online transactions. You can therefore rest assured that we take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously and no customer has reported fraudulent use of his or her credit or debit card as a result of purchases made through the Horsing Around website.
You can tell whether a page is secure when entering sensitive information as `https` will replace the `http` at the front of the browser address window. A small locked padlock will also appear in the bottom bar of your browser window. By clicking on this padlock you can confirm the authenticity of the SSL Certificate Information.
While placing your place through the Horsing Around website we also use a second security procedure by encrypting all the credit card details before this information leaves your computer. This is done by using a tough 1024-bit encryption key that uses an encryption method called 'Diffie-Hellman'. The encryption is not uncrackable - but it would take the most powerful computer available today over 20 years to get one credit card number.
Once encrypted, the credit card details are then transmitted back to Horsing Around's server. Once they reach our server they are then downloaded and then decrypted on a secure PC in our office so we can gather the relevant order details.

What is your policy on data protection?
We never release your personal details to third-party companies for marketing purposes. When you shop on our site, we collect certain personal information from you (for example, your name, email address, payment address and details). All such information is held on secure servers and Horsing Around fully complies with all applicable Data Protection and consumer legislation and will treat all your personal information as fully confidential.
In order to most efficiently serve you, reputable third-party banking and distribution institutions handle our credit card transactions and order fulfilment. They receive the information needed to verify and authorise your payment card and to process your order. All such organisations are under strict obligation to keep your personal information private.
